Char-Broil
Char-Broil Performance Series 36" 4-Burner Gas Griddle
Char-Broil's Performance Series 36 is the brand's volume flat-top and its most direct Blackstone 36 competitor, sold on a rolling cart with four independently controlled burners. Char-Broil positions it below its own Deluxe version, which adds a hard cover for $150 more. It is a plain, inexpensive griddle — no lid, no electronics — aimed at buyers who want the cooking surface and nothing else.

Specifications
Pros

- ✓Four separately controlled burners give a full warm-to-sear gradient across the plate
- ✓Rolled steel plate seasons and performs the same way the category leaders' surfaces do

- ✓A Deluxe version at $549 adds a hard cover on the same chassis if you want one later
Cons
- ✗No lid or hard cover at this price, so the plate is exposed to weather unless you buy one
- ✗Currently listed out of stock on Char-Broil's own site
- ✗Char-Broil does not publish cooking area in square inches for this model, only plate width
- ✗No published warranty on the product listing
- ✗Thinner cart construction than Blackstone's, and the side shelves flex under load

More from Char-Broil →A two-burner 22-inch tabletop flat-top, Char-Broil's answer to the Blackstone 22 tabletop that already sits in this catalog at $204. It is the same idea executed cheaper: two independently controlled burners on a rolled steel plate with no cart and no hood, meant to sit on a table or tailgate. Char-Broil also sells a folding-cart version of the same 22-inch plate for $299 if a stand is wanted.
The large end of Char-Broil's mainstream Performance line: five main burners making 36,000 BTU over 490 sq in, plus an 11,000 BTU side burner, in an enclosed cabinet. Char-Broil rates it at 28 burgers at once. It sits above the 4-burner cart already in this catalog by adding a fifth burner, the side burner, the cabinet and a 150 sq in warming rack, for roughly $180 more.

Char-Broil Performance Series 4-Burner
The Char-Broil Performance Series 4-Burner is a budget-friendly stainless gas grill with a side burner, one of the most popular value gas grills at big-box retailers. Char-Broil targets the affordable mainstream.
Char-Broil's small-footprint cabinet grill, and the cheapest way into their FlavorMax cooking system — a perforated emitter plate between burner and grate that vaporizes drippings instead of letting them hit open flame. 310 sq in of porcelain-coated cast iron plus an 85 sq in swing-away warming rack, in a 44.5 in wide cabinet with foldable side shelves and locking casters. FlavorMax is the 2025 rename of what Char-Broil previously marketed as Amplifire.

Char-Broil Grill2Go X200
The Grill2Go X200 is Char-Broil's rugged portable: a cast-aluminum firebox and lid in a roll-cage-style frame, built to be thrown in a truck bed rather than carried carefully. It uses Char-Broil's Amplifire infrared-style cooking system, where a radiant plate sits between burner and food, which suppresses flare-ups and evens out the hot spots single-burner portables usually suffer. At 24.7 lbs it is half the weight of a Coleman RoadTrip, with 200 sq in instead of 285.
The top of Char-Broil's Commercial line and a genuine grill/griddle hybrid: part of the 535 sq in primary surface is a built-in flat top, so bacon, eggs and smash burgers cook on the same appliance as steaks. It steps up from the Performance line with 443-grade stainless burners carrying a 10-year warranty instead of 409-grade with 5, and stainless heat tents rather than coated steel. Gas2Coal charcoal trays are sold separately to convert it to charcoal.
